Dearly helps you remember the birthdays and occasions of the people you care about. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to send you gentle, timely reminders. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Your account details — your name and email address, so we can sign you in and send your reminders.
- The people and dates you add — names, occasion types, dates, and any gift-idea notes you choose to save.
- Reminder preferences — how far in advance you’d like to be nudged.
- Basic usage information — limited technical data (such as log and device information) to keep Dearly reliable and secure.
How we use your information
- To send you the birthday and occasion reminders you’ve asked for.
- To operate, maintain, and improve Dearly.
- To process your subscription if you upgrade to Pro (payments are handled by our payment processor — we never store your full card details).
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t show you ads. We only email you your own reminders and essential account messages — never spam.
Sharing
We share information only with the trusted service providers that help us run Dearly (for example, email delivery and payment processing), and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data or close your account at any time, and we’ll remove your personal information in line with applicable law.
Your choices
- Access, update, or delete the people and dates you’ve saved at any time from your account.
- Adjust or turn off reminders whenever you like.
- Contact us to request a copy or deletion of your data.
